To talk about the institution of dance music in Australia, and more specifically Sydney, one cannot understate the value and importance of one particular venue that started it all. With the opening of the club Sublime on Pitt Street in the mid ‘90s, a new era began. The venue was crucial in creating a club culture that became a way of life, and in turn, Sublime developed into one of the longest running and iconic club nights Sydney has ever seen.

Now two decades later, we couldn’t imagine any better way to celebrate our roots – taking you back to the golden days with the release of Sublime: 20th Anniversary, mixed by two local legends, Mark Dynamix & Archie. Paying homage to the finest trance and electronic that all local DJs cut their teeth on, Mark & Archie deliver a 2CD package encompassing 30 tracks and remixes by Mauro Picotto, Cosmic Gate, Paul Van Dyk, and Above & Beyond.

Mixing the first CD, Mark Dynamix was one of the original Sublime DJs, and with over 15 years behind the decks he was once referred to as “the hardest working DJ in the country” by 3D World. Further to that, he has also been part of a huge 30 or so compilations put together by both Ministry of Sound, and Central Station Records. The second CD is mixed by our very own Archie who entered the legends hall of fame after ranking in at #5 for the states InTheMixTop50, and after 15 years of releasing music through Sony Music and Central Station, has received supports from Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Judge Jules and Darude to name a few.

With an anniversary party taking place on Friday 22nd July at Home nightclub, and with the release of the compilation on Friday 29th July, it’s time to get nostalgic with Sublime.
